Tips to make a successful poster presentation
- Plan your poster to be in logical sequence (i.e., background/objective, methods, results, conclusions).
- Most of the poster should consist of large, clear figures, with text kept to a minimum (mainly background and conclusions).
- Don’t overcrowd the poster but focus on explaining and illustrating the key points.
- Posters should be designed for clear viewing from a distance of at least 3 feet so that they can be viewed by a number of people at the same time.
- A visually appealing, colorful poster can be impactful.
- Memorize a short presentation on your poster to help start conversations.
- Relax and be enthusiastic! Show ENEBC participants why your work is interesting.
- Enjoy the questions! No-one is trying to catch you out, rather, questions show a genuine interest in your research
